We recorded news from the television
and now we are looking into the details.
Then we will do some interviews.
And why are you doing that?
Our theme is conflicts
and we chose the Near East.
And what are you doing?
I am dictating the words for our script.
And when will you start recording? It
might take a while, we need to write more.

You fouled it.
No I didn't.
It wasn't me. He started it.
No it wasn't me, it was him.
Who started it? David.
It was you David, wasn't it?
How many times do I have to tell you
not to fight? Why do you always blame me?
You've ruined my day now.
How dare you speak to me like that.
Go and stand outside the headmaster's office.
And you stand outside your classroom now.
Hey. Stop. What
is going on here?
He was hitting my brother yesterday.
But then I damaged his bike.
Intentionally.
And why?
Because of my brother.
He was just doing that.
Can you be friends again?
Okay then.
(Finally he came)
(This is my hook.
No, I was here before)
Erfurt
We discussed Erfurt
and we are doing something about it.
And why do you think it is important?
People shouldn't think, that nothing
really happened.
Robert Steinhäuser
was expelled
from Johann-Gutenberg School.
He wanted revenge and planned to
run amok.
Robert S. was in a rifle association.
He went to his old school on 25th May,
disguised with a hand weapon.
At the end of the day 17 people were dead.
10 teachers, 2 children, a deputy head,
a secretary and a policeman.
Maybe you know
the game
'zublinkern' - to wink at each other.
You have to look carefully and
deliberately into someone's eyes.
And sometimes you pass a small
message through that.
And you have to be very quiet during
this activity.
Be patient and when you have finished
then you can sit down.
Israel
What are you doing
here?
I have written something down
about conflicts.
A terrorist has been imprisoned
in Israel. He attacked some people.
Tell me about
a conflict in the world?
The war between Palestine and Israel.
How did you hear about it?
Through the media.
Where does it happen?
In Palestine and Israel.
Where is it situated?
In Asia.
Who are involved?
The Israelis and the Palestinians
Do you know how it began? Because
both countries wanted the same territories.
Have you got information in some
other way? No.
Are you worried about this
type of conflicts? Yes.
Why?
They can hurt many people.
How do you think the conflict could be solved?
They should talk about dividing the territory.
Hello. We have
been thinking about
the conflict in the Near East.
Politicians continually go to the
Near East for negotiations.
Israel imprisons terrorists. We don't
understand why innocent people die.
We hope that they stop the war in Israel
and in Palestine as well.
I hope that the war will be over soon.
Everyone knows
about the hard
situation in which we are living here
in Israel.
We went out on the streets of Haifa,
to find out how the conflict
between Palestinians and Israelis
influences our lives here in Israel,
and to try to find a solution
for the problem.
Let's hear from our reporters,
Dor and Sacha.
Haifa is an example for all of Israel.
If we can live together in Haifa, there
is no reason why we should not
Arabs and Jews, live together in other
cities in Israel and all over the world.
If people will be less stupid,
and more human,
and not religious fanatics,
and there would be a real will
for peace,
and the ability to give of oneself
to other people
who are different from us.
Then maybe there will be peace.
How do you think we could
solve the conflict?
Only sitting together around the table.
Only being patient and open minded.
Only thinking reasonably
and rationally.
We are all human beings.
We have to love each other.
We have to know how to give up.
There is a place for everybody
in this world.
G-d gave us enough land for
everybody. So let's live together
in peace.
Meanwhile only G-d knows
what the end of the conflict will be
between the two people.
Shalom, and see you soon friends!
I want the birds
to sing.
I want children to smile.
No more bombing.
Don't destroy the houses.
