'Media Literacy and Democracy – Media Literacy in Europe'
Conference and Live Show on the 29th June 2002 at the Open Channel Berlin

How can media education help young people to become responsible citizens? In which directions will media education develop? What is the current state of media education in different European countries? Teachers and experts from Germany, England, Spain and Israel will offer possible strategies and present insights into their project work. The day will also be the closing event of the European Socrates Project 'Television News on Europe'.

A liveshow with video extracts, statements and activities from the children from Berlin who participated in the Television News project will conclude the day. The show will be broadcast on Berlin television and online via a livestream.

Programme The conference is free of charge, the conference language will be English. Lunch is not included.
